Darci Forde

Certified Doula

Greetings, my name is Darcel Forde but most call me Darci.  I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, the third and only girl of three children to parents I jokingly say “Were waiters at the Last Supper” because of their age.

My journey into birth work started with my first birth and because of that traumatic experience, I was determined that no one needed to have that experience. My desire is that all women who desire to have children, have the knowledge and experience the joy of becoming a mother.

It all started with me living in what has now become the 3rd world country of Florida, and at a ripe old age, (according to the medical community) of 34, I found myself working at a job I didn’t particularly love and pregnant. I was nervous but excited at the same time, after all, I had seen enough television shows and movies to know how pregnancy was going to be , right?

I was going to have a great pregnancy, work up until time to deliver, wear cute maternity clothes, have fantastic hair and glowing skin; have a wonderful delivery with three pushes, and go home Mommy, Daddy, and baby make three.

Well, out of all of that…I did have great hair!

I have experienced the process of pregnancy in many forms, from disappointment to loss, to life, and because of that I am here to assist you and give you the support that you need.

I share my life with my husband Wayne, daughter Dhayne, and son Dean. Oh, and let's not forget the pandemic cats, Azula and Zuko.
